Hi, I’m Rachel
I'm a Product Designer, with a background in the beauty industry.
Before jumping into UX/UI Design, I spent over a decade as a master stylist. I worked and taught at a prestigious salon before opening my own business in 2015. The beauty industry taught me a ton – I gained an expertise in customer experience, brand management, and the power of effective communication. I spent years working one-on-one with clients in the salon to determine their needs, design their look, and mastering the art of articulating design decisions.
When I decided to make a bold career move, I researched what career paths would focus on the things that light me up, I discovered UX design and it ticked every box- starting with empathy and working together with users to translate their needs to effective designs.
I am a hobby photographer, and I often contribute to projects in more ways than one. You can find some of my headshots and branding photos in my work. When I’m not behind the desk, the lens, or the chair, you can find me in the kitchen baking my next loaf of sourdough or curled up with a good historical fiction novel.
I'm currently seeking a full time design position with an established team. If you're interested in talking, working together, or simply curious about what's coming next, I’d love to chat.
